5 Burning Issues For WWE Raw Tonight (Oct 9)

With the new Cruiserweight Champion (and direction of the division in general), WWE may have punished their way into solving two problems in one 'zo.

The 'Smacktalker Skywalker' was utterly fabulous last week, castrating the 205 Live roster one by one in a show-closing segment not unlike something The Rock might have attempted during his Attitude Era pomp. Of course, back then, people were actually watching. Yes, Enzo's two weeks on top have partially been a solution to WWE's unwanted problem of competition from the NFL. Or more specifically, that it's absolutely no competition at all.

Viewers depart in droves for the Monday Night game, meaning WWE are forced to ensure their key issues have played out before Raw's final gruelling hour. Rather than lazily throwing away matches though (hello Women's Division), the company have brilliantly utilised Amoré to add sizzle to the most rubbery of steaks.

The same applies to his position on 205 Live. So few people in the arena even watch that show that the company have been forced to keep AJ Styles off of SmackDown Live! just to make sure fans don't leave the building during the Tuesday night Network vehicle. A feud with Kalisto won't have a transformative impact either way, but should arm Amoré with even more jagged barbs en route to what will hopefully be another surprise hit.
