The most confusing call out ever took place when Alistair Overeem defeated Frank Mir then went on an called out Brock Lesnar, a retired fighter under contract to the WWE who Overeem had already defeated. Most MMA fans and pundits alike were left scratching their heads. On the MMA Hour, Overeem explained his strange choice in call-outs, which Dana White had already criticized, saying;
I believe I read somewhere that he wanted to come back, and that he believed he didn't win the fight because of his health conditions and that it would have been different if he was healthy. He was talking about maybe a comeback, and I thought he wanted to fight me because of his last fight, maybe a rematch. With Brock, you have to take it with a grain of salt.
Would the Overeem of today be able to take a healthy Brock Lesnar? It would be an interesting fight...
