1. The Ascension Need A Manager
WWE.comIn the WWF, Demolition had Mr. Fuji. In the NWA, The Road Warriors were managed by Paul Ellering, the Powers of Pain by Paul Jones and the Skyscrapers by Teddy Long. In ECW, the Eliminators were managed by Jason Knight. So, why then, in 2014, are The Ascension (a team crafted in the image of all of these dominant and influential tag teams, without a manager? WWE is once again adopting a pro-manager stance. Though not referred to as such, Paul Heyman, Zeb Colter, Lana, the now departed Vickie Guerrero, and many more have been placed in manager-like positions over the past decade. Giving The Ascension a solid, old school manager would add so much to their presentation. Though maybe still in the in-ring doghouse because of his marijuana arrest and suspension, maybe Ricardo Rodriguez is a solid choice to manage the duo. Consider the following idea: As part of Alberto Del Rio's seemingly imminent departure, it's explained that he was called back to Mexico on business, but left Ricardo his riches to continue the Del Rio legacy in WWE. Instead of say, hiring a new talent, Ricardo instead decides to put his money behind two rising talents, Konnor and VIktor. Ricardo's promos as a crazed man of considerable wealth guiding these two focused skullcrushers to the ring and watching them win and only earn him more money could make for compelling television segments. Furthermore, it gives the team a level of presence, purpose and credibility that could put their already imposing presence over the top.
