5 Lurid WWE Hotel Room Angles

1. Booker T: Homophobe

Booker T and Goldust were thrown together on RAW in 2002 - a year in which WWE had more talent than they knew what to do with.

It was with some reluctance on the part of Booker T. Goldust had petitioned to make their team a permanent arrangement, but his homoerotic innuendoes scared Booker T off initially. Again, you could argue that their eventual platonic friendship was WWE's way of repenting for their past sins in the homophobia department - but that would ignore Billy and Chuck's heroic "we're not gay!" babyface turn on the blue brand that very same year.

Goldust, upset at Book's unreciprocated advances, set up an elaborate ruse to ensnare him. Paying an actress to pose as a ring rat, Goldust arranged a sexual liaison in the Marriott hotel at Judgment Day 2002.

If you can forgive the rather uncomfortable fact that the skit was predicated on Booker T's revulsion at all things gay, there was much in the way of comedy value. Book, carrying out the young lady's request to turn off the lights, did so by outstretching his hand into the famous "five time!" pose. Booker almost dropped the N Bomb - but, unlike in one of wrestling's greatest ever botched promos, managed to stop himself at the last second.
