5 Major Mistakes WWE Made With The Superstar Shake-up
1. No Quips, Just Sh*t
The biggest indictment of the NXT-to-WWE treadmill (as of this writing, anyway), The Revival's injury-hit 2017 doesn't compare with the creative brick wall that's been 2018.
Crack after crack in their once rock solid visage was papered over with the usual 'let it play out and see where it goes' patter - particularly prevalent after D-Generation-X and The Bálor Club squashed them like bugs in a deeply dispiriting jolly boys outing on the wretched Raw 25.
Triple H was front and centre of the assault, marking rare time he was willing to dust off his old shovel on one of his NXT success stories. If Dawson and Dash have even lost 'The Game', they've lost the war.
A move to SmackDown Live! regardless of those that got to stay put on the blue brand would have been the quickest of fixes for the talented old-time twosome. The shorter run-time doesn't downplay the importance of in-ring action - the main area in which The Revival thrive.
As is, they'll remain on Raw wrestling (and potentially still losing) short television contests to an even more inferior crop of doubles acts than those there before.
