Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn weren't just hoofed out of the WWE locker room after more than a few bouts of odd behaviour in 2017 - they were sent packing across an ocean.

SportsIllustrated.com were first to report that the pair's decision not to follow a directive on the Manchester blue brand taping was their latest and last transgression Accused of "going into business for themselves", Zayn and Owens ended a segment abruptly, retreating to the back instead of returning to the ring to take a planned kicking from The New Day.

After the show was broadcast (with the unplanned segment airing in full) Vince McMahon signed off on the decision to remove them from the remainder of the United Kingdom tour, triggering some discussion that the entire thing was actually part of the anti-authority storyline the duo were working at the time. That both were still booked to interfere in the Survivor Series main event (and later earn Royal Rumble WWE Title shots against AJ Styles) implied the decision - like their own on the controversial taping - was more shoot than work.
