When Ben Askren came to the UFC, boy did he come in hot. The undefeated One Championship welterweight basically flipped the bird to any and every fighter who’d engage in his mentions. But to be honest, why wouldn’t he be confident when his new boss willingly traded the man thought to be the P4P fighter of the past few years, whilst The Funk had barely been touched 18 fights?

His UFC debut was undoubtedly a rough outing. Nevertheless he managed to pull a win out of the bag. It wasn’t until he ran into Jorge Masvidal when things changed. Or when Jorge ran into him.
