5 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Jan 11)

3. All The Gear...

Vince McMahon Tampon
WWE

The Revival, we can infer, can't be happy with their lot.

Demoted from their status as the best tag team in all of wrestling - a unit so entertaining and effective that they made fans of both Jim Cornette and NXT's modern, hipster audience - Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are now one of two things, depending on which portion of the audience perceives them:

That modern, in-the-know audience now sees them as the most depressing victims yet of Vince McMahon's hostile TakeOver of the TakeOver generation; the more casual audience meanwhile now sees them as the guys who can't engineer a notable win in a division comprised of small children and comedy jobbers.

Now, WWE Superstars don't enjoy much in the way of autonomy. Over-produced far more than they are over - this connection is lost on management - they are allowed to wear what they want to the ring. Scott Dawson on Monday's RAW wore a pair of trunks on which #FTR was emblazoned. This, again, means one of two things:

1) 'F*ck The Revival', which might suggest that Dash and Dawson have entered full self-loathing territory.

Or, more likely:

2) 'Free The Revival'. And, in fairness, there's more chance of Sarath Ton signing their release than Vince McMahon, hence this act of defiance.

With All Elite Wrestling looming, Dash and Dawson appear to have sent a coded message to Cody and the Young Bucks - and they'll see it when they are permitted to leave.

At Quintuple or Nothing, if Neville is any indication.
