2. Vince Russo Has Responded To Jim Cornette's Challenge...

...by slapping him with a restraining order.

The nuclear heat between the two men continues to rage on. A fortnight ago, Jim Cornette called Vince Russo out for a non-televised scrap. Russo, in response, did the only thing he knows how to do: he swerved his faux-sincere apology and claimed he was only sorry that Cornette was a "mark who didn't know how to take a bump," and that he "never went on national television and dressed like the village idiot."

Even though hardly anybody watched WCW circa 2000 - a claim Russo, infuriatingly, counters with no actual evidence to this day - enough people did to immortalise the image of him wearing a helmet (how apt) and being enough of a pathetic mark for himself to award himself the WCW World Heavyweight Title.

Russo, the shagged-out one trick pony that he is, then repeated the apology bit when he attacked Eric Bischoff. Tragically, two swerves in the sake of a week isn't even a record for Vinnie Ru, who even booked swerve turns when he wasn't installed in any booking capacity. As part of his ongoing, desperate and sad attempts to snag a job with WWE, he started booking RAW in 2014 - like he was an intern nobody wanted to work for free - as part of his Dear Vince project, which went as swimmingly as Pyro & Ballyhoo - his VIP content suite that less than ten people paid for.

His first segment? He penned Bray Wyatt to swerve turn on his Family.

Russo has this week filed an Emergency Protection Order against Cornette for harassment. He isn't being stalked, but then that's Russo: diluting absolutely everything until there is no value in it whatsoever.
