5 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Nov 16)

4. WWE Does Carpool Karaoke

Carpool Karaoke
WWE

Various WWE stars appeared on Carpool Karaoke this week, and thank f*ck James Corden wasn’t in the car with Stephanie McMahon. Can you imagine? I’d rather listen to Brie Bella’s entrance theme on a ten hour loop as New Jack takes a cheese grater to my ar*ehole.

Stephanie McMahon approximated this sensation in her cameo, in which she doesn’t sing ‘Can’t Smile’ by early 2000s UK rockers Vex Red, but rather Young MC’s ‘Bust A Move'. Failing to alter the opening lyric to ‘This here’s a slap for all the fellas’, she instead plays her rendition straight, and intensely irritating. Brilliantly, Triple H, in the driver’s seat, reacts to his wife as if he cannot wait for her to shut the f*ck up. There’s a good chance that he’s spent the last decade and a half under intense method study for his performance here.

Trips then sings Metallica’s Enter Sandman, threatening to send virtually all of his NXT prospects to never-never land, as any remaining aura surrounding Braun Strowman is squashed, about as comprehensively as he was at Crown Jewel, when he sings Hanson’s ‘MMMbop’.

In the most insane moment of a bizarre non-canon exercise, Becky Lynch shares a car with blood rival Charlotte Flair (before the power of SmackDown brought them together), Naomi, Natalya, and Nia Jax...

…who is driving.

Happily, the car somehow didn’t crash.
