3. BAD Choice Of Words

On this week’s RAW, Alexa Bliss made her picks for the RAW Women’s Survivor Series match.

She chose Natalya, strangely. She also chose close associate Mickie James, unsurprisingly. There’s an element of favouritism, but Mickie is a veteran presence. No real qualms there. She also picked Nia Jax. Well, the objective is to hurt the opposition. She also made Bayley and Sasha Banks compete for the last slot, and that’s good booking: it reinforces Alexa’s heel credentials and furthers the on/off storyline between the former NXT rivals-cum-frenemies. Ruby Riott took the last slot, when that match went to a no contest, which should definitely help motivate Natalya, and not trigger her into a mental collapse. Alexa he also selected Tamina Snuka, in order to capitalise on the brand loyalty she has cultivated for less than a month. How did she put over her pick?

“Tonight, she has demonstrated that she was born with that killer instinct I need for my team.”

LOL.

Could they have made a poorer choice of words? Did some creative staffer throw this in there as an in-joke? That, surely, is the only explanation. Talent didn’t run in the family, so there’s a chance homicidal tendencies don’t either—but still. This was very ill-advised.

And morbidly hilarious.
