5 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Oct 5)

1. PAC's Back, Beh-beh

After months and months on the sidelines—he wasn’t injured, WWE just froze his contract even though, per George Barrios, talents are free to terminate them in “pretty short order”—Neville, as PAC, finally made his return to the pro wrestling arena this week.

Most observers saw PAC and the surging New Japan Pro Wrestling as a natural fit. The Man Gravity Forgot had performed in the promotion in 2012, albeit briefly, to much acclaim. As a menacing European heel with a snarling promo game, he could have walked into the Elite. He could have walked right into Ring Of Honor, and improved its recent uneven offerings to a considerable degree. He could have literally walked into Defiant Wrestling.

Instead, and this is actually really nice, which by wrestling standards makes it insane, he returned to his old Dragon Gate stomping ground. The promotion has waned since his exit and the subsequent exits of several key players over the last few years—so what we have here is a man paying it forward, and returning to an environment in which he won’t make the same money, but will be considerably happier.

The Man Gravity Forgot hasn’t forgotten his roots. It’s geet canny.
