5 Names You'll Never Hear In A WWE Ring Again

2. Chyna

As a wrestler, Chyna broke new ground for female performers, becoming the first woman to hold the Intercontinental Title as well as being the first woman to enter the Royal Rumble in 1999. Her appearance and demeanour coincided with a changing attitude in the industry, and her wrestling achievements alone should guarantee her a place in the Hall of Fame. But in-ring success counts for little when out of the ring behaviour leaves much to be desired. Chyna debuted with current heir to the WWE throne, Vince McMahon's son-in-law and company Executive Vice President Paul 'Triple H' Levesque in 1997. The two were in a romantic relationship off camera and founding members of legendary group Degeneration-X on screen. In 1999 the duo were at the top of the WWE ladder, but while Triple H went on to become a 13-time World Champion, Chyna never matched her partners level of success. In 2000 Chyna and Triple H split on and off the camera. Triple H went on to become an industry legend, as well as marrying Vince McMahon's daughter Stephanie with whom he is being groomed as a future leader of the company. Chyna saw success in ring up until her departure in 2001, becoming a three time Intercontinental Champion, one time Women's Champion and also posing nude for Playboy magazine. If her complicated relationship with Triple H wasn't enough to keep Chyna firmly out of WWE's current thoughts, then her career since leaving certainly is. Chyna would go on to release a sex tape with Sean 'X-Pac' Waltman, become a porn star, be arrested for domestic assault (for beating Waltman no less), suffer serious drug abuse issues and become a regular tabloid figure for her erratic behaviour. Not quite what a PG television programme is looking for...
