Another episode of Raw, another batch of new Rumble names...

WWE's signature over-the-top-rope battle royal returns on 26 January, with the promotion taking Royal Rumble 2020 to Houston, Texas for the year's first pay-per-view.

The promotion started populating the men's and women's bouts on 30 December, when Charlotte Flair was unveiled as the first official participant. Curiously, only three more names have joined her since then - one of which was confirmed on last night's Raw. The women's roster is smaller than the men's, yes, but it seems odd that WWE would willingly choose to leave so much of it until the last minute, particularly as the lineup is so lacking in big hitters at the moment.

On the other hand, there are just 13 spots left on the men's side. We already know that those reports of 10 wrestlers each from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT were nonsense, as the red side is already represented by 11 grapplers, including AJ Styles, Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton, Drew McIntyre, and, of course, WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, who enters the bout at number one.

Lesnar will be in the house for next week's go-home Raw, during which several new names could be announced for the Rumble itself. Before that, let's run through last night's additions...
