5 Positives & 5 Negatives For WWE From Donald Trump's Election Victory

1. Positive: WWE May Have A McMahon In The White House

With Trump's past dealings and open support of Vince McMahon, his opinion of the promoter is unlikely to change once he takes the oval office.

Having an "inside track" to the White House is a boon for any business, much less one that has, for years, been ridiculed by the mainstream press. At the same time, just because Trump has been more than accepting of WWE's brand of entertainment, doesn't mean that his constituents will share the same affinity.

If Trump names Linda McMahon as his Secretary of Commerce, that is obviously good news for WWE. Even if he does not, the notion that Linda was even considered for a Cabinet position shows how seriously many are taking the former WWE CEO (yes, Linda was CEO at a time when Vince was preparing to face incarceration). If not in 2017, perhaps one day a McMahon will find their way into the White House. What a thought!

At WrestleMania XX, Jesse Ventura said that, "Maybe it's time we put a wrestler in the White House!" and the Madison Square Garden crowd roared with approval. That isn't happening quite yet (although one could argue Trump was a manager/valet at WrestleMania 23), at least not as the President, but it's possible we may see a McMahon reach the White House, in some form or fashion, before Trump's term is over.
