I realise that this list kicked off with a very pro-Chris Jericho argument, and this next point is going to make this article seem like a full-on Jericho circle jerk. But given how great Y2J has been in the lead up to Hell in a Cell, I think it’s only fair that we give him the appreciation he deserves and drink in the gift of Jericho.

From the backstage skits with Kevin Owens and Tom Philips, to the much-loved List of Jericho shenanigans – which, by the way, are one of the most over aspects of the entire show – everything Jericho has touched in recent weeks has been turned into absolute gold.

This plays into the earlier point about Jericho’s absence from the main event being something of a negative, but looking on the bright side, even if he refrains from appearing on the show, at least he’s helped to make the build-up to the event as entertaining as possible. Personally, I highly doubt that three hours of Raw each week would have been quite the same without Jericho’s tomfoolery featuring throughout the evening.

And who knows, perhaps he’ll still make his presence felt in some way or another at the PPV this weekend. Whatever happens, you get the feeling that between Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, and Stephanie McMahon, or anyone else on the roster for that matter, someone’s getting added to the list...
