5 Reasons Why The Bella Twins' Feud Is Actually Best For Business

5. It's A Feud That Can Spawn Storylines Forever

Being that Nikki Bella is in a real-life relationship with "face of the WWE" John Cena, and Brie Bella is married to Wrestlemania XXX main event winner Daniel Bryan, the Bella Twins are more likely than any other diva - save third-generation wrestler Natalya - to be gainfully employed by WWE for the next decade. Thus, the sisters splitting and adding depth and scope to their characters is important if they're going to be around. Most WWE divas are two-dimensional characters who swap gimmicks and babyface/heel positions on the show with great frequency. One day, Alicia Fox is an athletic babyface. The next week she's a crazed thief attempting to rob the commentators on WWE Main Event. Attempting to give Brie and Nikki better developed characters will pay off down the line as given the amount of TV time and special treatment that the twin divas are being given (Stephanie McMahon and legendary TV show host Jerry Springer have been involved so far), the WWE Universe will be able to connect and sympathize on a greater level with anything and anyone connected to them likely for the rest of their WWE careers. In a manner similar to the likes of Lita and Trish Stratus, pushing Brie and Nikki Bella will make them lynchpins of the WWE product who, down the line can be hopefully depended upon to put characters and angles over-the-top.
