5 Reasons Why Bray Wyatt And Chris Jericho's Feud Is A Failure (So Far)
4. The Wyatt Family Should Burn Chris Jericho's Light Up Jacket
The most absurd point to date in the feud between Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho occurred on July 18, 2014's episode of Smackdown. As Bray Wyatt accompanied Luke Harper to ringside for his match versus Chris Jericho, the "Highlight of the Night" was standing there in the middle of the ring with his light-up jacket turned on as thousands of cell phone lights were held aloft in the crowd behind him. While clearly a show by Jericho that he was not afraid of the "teller of 1,000 truths," when contemplating what Bray Wyatt has done to-date in WWE, it feels absolutely ridiculous, and if anything denies a level of gravitas that the feud deserves. For the past year, Bray Wyatt has stood more than toe-to-toe with the likes of CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose. As well, he burned Kane, beat Daniel Bryan into turning heel and psychologically destroyed John Cena. Somehow, being a part-time superstar and standing in the ring while wearing a light up coat makes you look like a giant tool by comparison. Thus, if slamming Chris Jericho's head into a wall with Sister Abigail won't work to get Jericho taking this feud seriously, maybe Harper and Rowan stealing Jericho's jacket, and burning it in the middle of the ring would give Jericho the compelling reason needed to turn the seriousness in this feud up to 11.The visual image of the electronic jacket melting, and the announcers putting over the acrid scent of burning leather, metal and electronics would be a powerful visual that could add some steam to this underwhelming feud.
