5 Reasons Why The Build To Survivor Series Has Been Terrible

4. Copy And Paste Team Dynamics

Just once, I'd like to see a team of heels and faces that can get along.

This weeks Raw gave us three promos for three different RAW teams that all had an eerily similar theme: The heels arguing with the faces, creating dissension in the ranks, and the commentators asking if their teams can get along. It felt like a copy and paste script, and all three led to matches later in the night.

SmackDown gave us similar instances. While the tag division was restricted to a qualifying match for Tyler Breeze and Fandango, there was infighting in the women's division (not counting the Title match between Alexa Bliss and Becky Lynch), and a main event pitting the male team members against each other, with Baron Corbin excluding himself for selfish reasons.

I can understand the dynamic if this was just one team against another, but WWE put itself in a corner by having six different teams, each with a heel-face mix, and failing to come up with unique and captivating stories for each team. The result is a homogeneous mess that drains the audience's patience through painful repitition.
