5 ROH Callbacks You Missed On AEW Dynamite Last Night

2. ROH As Developmental?

"And FTR you ain't safe, Imma send your asses down to ROH..."

That was a line spouted by Max Caster as The Acclaimed rapped their way to the ring for last night's tag team battle royal, with Caster throwing shade as per the norm for the team's entrance.

Of course, this isn't an ROH callback, but it was interesting to see Platinum Max mention Ring of Honor in a way that suggests FTR would be sent "down" to the promotion. It could be reading way too much into things, but some are already taking Caster's words as further evidence that ROH will effectively become a developmental territory for AEW.

One other way to look at this, though, was this was just heel Max Caster doing heel Max Caster things, spouting derogatory comments about both the FTR tandem and Ring of Honor as a promotion - making FTR and ROH feel below the level of Caster and his Acclaimed partner, Anthony Bowens.

Still, it was fun to see that ROH is already fair game for digs from AEW talent, and this particular mention of the promotion could even be utilised to set up something between The Acclaimed and an ROH tag team at some point down the line.
