5 Things We Learned From Total Bellas

2. They Don’t Call Him “Super Cena” For Nothing

John Cena has jokingly (and sometimes mockingly) been referred to as “Super Cena” for years, partly because he seemingly has a preternatural ability to come back from very serious injury in a fraction of a time it would take a normal mortal. On Total Bellas, it was clear this isn’t because Cena has actual superpowers.

John Cena appears in pretty much every episode, but isn’t actually featured a huge amount. This is mostly because he was spending every waking moment rehabbing his shoulder and preparing for his return. At one point Nikki comments how they barely see each other because he’s literally always out of the house.

Cena’s single-minded determination to get back to full health as quickly possible is both admirable and wholly expected – he really does live by his mantra, and he does not give up.

Her favourite wrestler of all time is Shawn Michaels, her favourite current wrestler is Kevin Owens, and she will always regret being too young to push her way through the crowd to shake Bret Hart's hand at a WWE event in 1993.
