5 Things WWE Network Needs To Do Better In 2020
1. Timely Uploads
In the US, NXT shows on Wednesday on the Network. In the UK, we get the show added at 3am on Friday. This is annoying, but still leaves plenty of time to watch the episode before any TakeOvers that might be due on Saturday night.
Raw and SmackDown, on the other hand, aren't uploaded until six weeks after they've been shown on television. Let me repeat that for you: Episodes of Raw and SmackDown do not appear on the UK version of the WWE Network until SIX WEEKS after they've been broadcast. This means that UK viewers cannot watch only through the Network or they'll see the PPVs that payoff storylines before that storyline has even begun for them.
This was originally blamed on the existing deal with Sky when the Network first came out in the UK, and fans eagerly awaited that deal's end in 2019 and a renegotiation that took them into account. In January 2020, WWE programming will move from Sky to BT Sports, and it's hoped that the delay in uploads will end alongside the Sky deal.
If it's not, then the WWE Network is ironically one of the worst ways for those looking to watch all WWE content, and the cost of the subscription cannot be justified.
