5 Things You Didn't Know About CM Punk's MMA Transition

5. He Has Trained With None Other Than Al Bundy Himself, Ed O'Neill

Lets get the fun stuff out of the way first: CM Punk has trained with the most dangerous shoe salesman on the planet, Ed O'Neill, currently starring on the hit sitcom Modern Family, and forever known as Al "four touchdowns in a single game" Bundy. And that, frankly, is pretty sick. While this was no doubt just a friendly session with a legend (Punk's just the right age to appreciate Married with Children), O'Neill is no joke as an athlete. He was once signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted rookie in the NFL, back in 1969, but was cut by that July. Still, even getting signed by an NFL team is impressive, especially undrafted. Then there's his Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills. O'Neill was actually a reluctant convert to the martial art, but once he saw it in action, he was hooked. Check out the belt O'Neill is wearing in the photo above. Yes, that's a black belt. Do not mess with Al Bundy.
