5 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Rampage (Nov 4)

3. Mike Tyson

Mike Tyson AEW Commentary
AEW

Sure, Tyson kept interrupting everybody and was a weird fit for this All-Atlantic Title match on paper, but the ex-boxer was having fun out there on guest commentary. Perhaps the best thing about his appearance is that you can immediately tell he's a hardcore pro wrestling fan who loves this stuff.

That goes a long way.

There was more to Mike's performance too. He was the one who brought up a great point about Katsuyori Shibata taking blows to the head, and his cry of "OH SH*T!" right before the finish was totally classic. Is Tyson gonna oust Excalibur from the desk? No, and this isn't something they should do often either, but it wasn't the disaster it could've been.

Wrestling commentary isn't easy, and anyone who thinks otherwise is in for a rude awakening if they ever sit behind the table. So, Tyson did well here. He was actually better than some full-time workers who sit in for a match in WWE or AEW.

'Iron' Mike gets an 'Up' for his enthusiasm and product knowledge.
