5 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Jan 19 - Results & Review)

Ups...

5. Maximise Your Minutes

Penta Anthony Henry AEW
AEW

Going in, your writer thought he wouldn't care one bit about a match like Penta vs. Anthony Henry. After all, these guys had next-to-no story to speak of, and they were blatantly about to work a sub-five minute scrap. Remarkably, it turned out to be one of the most fun sprints in recent Rampage memory.

Those boys packed a lot into four mins.

No, it's still not the kind of match you'll remember this time next week (which is something Tony Khan is definitely guilty of booking too much of), but still...a good time is a good time. Penta and Henry gelled from the off, and they didn't suffer despite being on the 'C' show and only given a short time to show their wares.

Some All Elite fans have piped up on socials and said they'd like to see more of Anthony Henry. Add this guy to the list, because Henry defo has something about him. Now, if only AEW could prioritise layering characters rather than exclusively relying on in-ring skills for many on the roster.

Perish the thought, eh?
