5 Ups & 2 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (June 13)

1. An Unfashionable Flop

Tyler Breeze and Fandango’s Fashion Files have been a regular, dependable highlight on SmackDown lately, but this week’s didn’t hit the mark. At just two minutes long (a quarter of which was occupied by the intro), it was entirely too short to accomplish anything of note, and aside from the Sami Zayn easter egg on the notice board (“Generic,” "needs a mask"), there was little to laugh at.

These guys can probably produce entertaining segments together forever, but while this one was functional, it was several levels below the usual standard. Breeze was laid out backstage, and described his attackers as having “greasy hair, dry skin, and two arms,” while Fandango sketched a couple of stick figures, and that was pretty much it.

This likely sets up a confrontation with another team in the division, but the segment felt like just a snippet of SmackDown’s most consistently entertaining act, which isn’t enough. The good news is that Breezango were used solidly throughout the night, rather than staying confined to the Fashion Files, but this segment was a slight letdown, given the quality we’ve enjoyed lately.
