5 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Oct 25)

1. Main Event Excellence

Last week's main event between Brian Cage and Rich Swann meant this week's showcloser had a lot to live up to. Luckily for Impact, they had Johnny Impact and Fenix closing. When this was announced, there was never any doubts about whether or not it could be just as good, if not better.

Although it was being contested for the World Championship, any fans unaware of that could easily have mistaken it for an X Division Championship match. The two involved aren't typically known for their power moves - Fenix does have a few tricks up his sleeve though. The match was a lovely way to close out a fun episode, with some insane moves from both sides. Even though Fenix came out on the losing end, he showed that he's more than capable of main eventing in big matches.

With all the questions surrounding Austin Aries' actions at Bound For Glory, Impact management needed to put on a match that would distract people from all the wondering. This was the match for that.
