Downs…

2. A Missed Opportunity?

The Street Profits B-FAB

This was a puzzling decision considering the title change later on.

DIY just won the tag belts from A-Town Down Under, so you'd think Triple H would want to prep some heel teams for the new titleholders. That's why Pretty Deadly losing to The Street Profits is hard to stomach. Remember this if PD suddenly get thrust into the title mix vs. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.

Where's Randy Orton to shout, "STUPID!" when you need him?! Seriously though, the actual match itself was decent and well-worked from start to finish. However, the whole exercise felt like a missed opportunity to make Pretty Deadly mean something. They're class clowns, yes, but WWE doesn't actually have much depth on the heel side for DIY to work with and changing that should've been a priority.

PD would've been perfect for that spot. To get there, they'd need to string a few wins together and actually, y'know, come across as a threat. Seeing Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins chase the titles vs. DIY doesn't sound very inspiring at all. Missed a trick here, Trips!
