4. Jey Uso Ambushing Daniel Bryan

There was more to come from Jey Uso later in the broadcast when he went one-on-one with Daniel Bryan. Roman's puppet also ambushed Dan before the match started, which is in keeping with his recent behaviour towards both Bryan and Kevin Owens.

Man, they're nailing every single story beat with these guys.

Jey looked for a cheap way out, then got his comeuppance when the world class Bryan fought back valiantly to take the win. That's a simple story everyone can follow, and it hardly hurts Uso one bit that he lost to someone the standing of Daniel. In fact, it should bolster his desperation going forwards.

The way Bryan centred his attacks on Jey's injured leg during the second half of the match was wonderful match formatting too. That's precisely what a top calibre wrestler like Daniel would do, and it almost (almost) heaped some sympathy back on Uso before he outed himself as a dirtbag yet again.
