5 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (April 20 - Results & Review)

1. Main Event Sets The Table For Dynasty

Collision's main event of the Elite vs. FTR & Pac did a fantastic job of setting the table for two of Dynasty's most hotly-anticipated matches; that being the Young Bucks against FTR, and Kazuchika Okada against Pac.

A fast-paced, hard-hitting 22-minute match is certainly one way to get people hyped for Dynasty, and that's what we got here. Amongst the action, fans were treated to some of the most glorious looking moves in the game right now - from Okada's stunning dropkick, to FTR's magnificently timed PowerPlex, to the Jacksons' crisp EVP Trigger, and Pac's, well, pretty much everything the Bastard does!

While many fans are obviously looking forward to the Bucks vs. FTR at Dynasty, likely even more anticipated is Okada vs. Pac. Two of the very best in the world, a first-ever singles match between these two could well steal the show by the time all is said and done with Dynasty. The Rolls-Royce smoothness of the Rainmaker, combined with the frantic, frenetic snugness Pac always brings to the ring should make for a special one-on-one match.

Given him some momentum going into that Dynasty match, it was Pac who got the win here with the Black Arrow, although it was over Nicholas Jackson rather than Kazuchika Okada. An attempted post-match beatdown by the Elite was thwarted by Daniel Garcia, leading to the great visual of Okada stuck in Pac's Brutaliser until the Bucks could drag him to safety. That visual is likely as close as we'll get to seeing Okada tap out at Dynasty, but it still made Pac look like a thorough beast going into the PPV.
