5 Ups & 3 Downs For AEW Collision (Oct 14 - Results & Review)

2. Juice & Daniels Struggle To Get Going

AEW Collision Bullet Club Gold
AEW

Juice Robinson is forever one of the most captivating, entertaining presences on AEW programming these days, and Christopher Daniels is a legend of the business. Sadly, these two struggled to really get going on this week's Collision.

So much of this contest felt stuck in treacle, with the veteran Fallen Angel obviously not quite as fluid or smooth as in his younger days. Daniels clearly still has value as an in-ring talent, but this match was the very definition of filler; just thrown together to get Bullet Club Gold on TV.

Yes, the post-match shenanigans was designed to make Juice look like a threat heading into the Dynamite Dozen Battle Royale, but the whole post-match somewhat overstayed its welcome. Robinson and Jay White got to cut promos directed at MJF, but this all just went on for too long - all as poor Christopher Daniels had to just lifelessly lie on the mat throughout.

Could this time have not been used better by just simply having Juice and Jay cut their promos? Could this time have not been used better by maybe giving Switchblade a dominant, quick win to put some momentum behind him as he readies himself for Full Gear and MJF next month? Or could Juice have simply put Daniels away in half the time it ended up taking?
