5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dark (Jun 30)

1. The Young Bucks vs. Brandon Cutler and Peter Avalon

Rather than running through Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler, The Young Bucks showed up to Dark and decided to have a good little match with the struggling duo, resulting in a breeze of a main event.

This was a typically fun and fast-paced bout from the brothers Jackson. Though worked at a house show clip, they looked great and went out of their way to ensure their opponents did as well, though Avalon and Cutler were largely their own undoing. They bickered throughout, not truly coming together until towards the end of the bout, though it was too little too late: the BTE Trigger scored the Bucks their rightful victory.

There's nothing to criticise here, really. It wasn't presented as an enhancement bout but a tune-up, and the Bucks gave Avalon and Cutler plenty, elevating them as a result.
