5. Commentary Brings It's Double-A Game

Arn Anderson AEW Dark
AEW

Thus far, AEW's Dark has cycled a number of guest commentators alongside Excalibur and Goldenboy, amongst them Cody's buddy MJF and former SmackDown and Impact voice Taz. They saved arguably the best until this week, in the form of bona fide living legend and multiple time Hall of Famer Arn Anderson.

Double A's broadcast partners were evidently in awe of the Horsemen, to the point of distraction during the opening stages of Hikaru Shida's match against Big Swole. Once they settled into their rhythm (Goldenboy impressed Arn with the word 'prowess'), Arn's legacy was able to imbue the contest with a degree of prestige and gravitas it would otherwise have struggled to attain. The sheer presence of the man was highlighted when he was swapped out for Chuck Taylor in Dark's second match, a noticeable downgrade.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
