5 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Dynamite (3 Aug)

3. The Undisputed Elite EXPLODES

While this was another AEW angle that could've used longer to marinate (despite the long-term storyline in play), the Undisputed Elite's split would have felt immensely gratifying to those deeply invested in the rich, complex relationship between 'Hangman' Adam Page and The Young Bucks.

Adam Cole was an ass to the Jackson brothers, calling himself their group's "boss" and saying that if they didn't pick Bobby Fish as their trios tournament partners, they can't do the tournament. Then came the turn. Cole corrected himself, saying the Bucks wouldn't be physically capable of wrestling, prompting reDRagon to spring.

Cue: the inevitable Hangman save - and Elite fans crying joyful tears.

Probably.

That Matt Jackson took Page's hand only to stand up (before the former World Champion left) shows tensions still exist. These guys aren't best friends all of sudden. Clearly, there is a lot of deep-rooted emotional baggage left to unpack, though this was the next logical step in a development that has been brewing since the Bucks nodded their approval of Page taking Kenny Omega's AEW World Title.

Thinking about where Omega fits into all of this is exciting, too. The Elite certainly aren't short of possibilities should Kenny return soon.
