5 Ups & 3 Downs From Impact Wrestling Rebellion 2020 (Part 2)
2. And New?
Here's a statement your writer thought he'd never type in 2020 - Moose is the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.
From the unveiling of the title to the match with Michael Elgin and Hernandez, the thing as a whole it was excellent from start to finish. Three big beefy boys colliding - what wasn't to love? You had Moose casually being double hip tossed, Elgin corkscrewing off the top rope like it was nothing, and Hernandez doing his signature Big Man Dive over the ropes, knocking the referee down by accident. A No Jackhammer Needed spear to 'SuperMex' was enough for Moose to retain(?) the gold.
Nobody saw this coming. We had been promised an update on the situation surrounding the Impact World Championship, with several possibilities about what could possibly happen. Even with the recent returns of past TNA stars, there wasn't anyone thinking that the TNA equivalent to the Big Gold Belt would be getting reintroduced. Alas, here we are with Moose now as the (temporary) face of Impact Wrestling.
