1. R-Truth Knocks It Out The Park

Sometimes, WWE sit-downs lack something or come across as forced exposition dumps designed to fill in a lot of gaps in the story. Not here. Instead, R-Truth delivered a delusional but believable promo about why he still believes in John Cena. Meanwhile, Wade Barrett questioned why Truth could continue backing somebody who put him through a table during the post-Backlash press conference.

Why? Because Truth doesn't think that was the real Cena, that's why. He said something bad has got into his hero, and now he knows he needs to knock some sense into him at Saturday Night's Main Event. What a dramatic bit of set-up that is. Now, Cena can get a respectable amount of heat by wrecking Truth at SNME next weekend. He kinda has to. Blood could be necessary before John stares at his hands in a, 'What have I done?!' way.

R-Truth dropped comedy completely when chatting with Wade. He didn't have the wild, 'nobody's home' eyes on, and he kept things simple. Don't kid yourselves, this was not an easy segment to get spot on. Truth easily could've clowned the coming match vs. Cena by wearing John's outfit or saying he couldn't wait to step into the ring with his "childhood hero".

There was none of that silly stuff. This was a serious piece painstakingly produced to feed into a serious match. Here's hoping the agent in charge (as well as both Cena and Truth) recognise they could whip up a real Saturday Night's Main Event moment here.

Why not?
