5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Apr 24)

Downs...

3. The Plight Of Miz & Morrison

What the hell has happened to this push?

The Miz and John Morrison have gone from the ideal heel combo leading SmackDown's tag-team division to a pair of washed-up losers who can't even beat Lucha House Party. Your writer has nothing against the Lucha lads, but they shouldn't be upsetting guys who were large and in charge of the entire scene mere weeks ago.

To recap, Miz and Morrison dropped their belts in a bloody singles match, then lost to a team who rarely wins on TV. It'd be a bit tragic if this was the grand plan WWE had for their reunion all along; playing the tired losing streak gimmick will not do anyone any favours. That's guaranteed, and it'd be stupid of the writers to even try.

If played correctly, Miz and Morrison could've used the Triple Threat excuse and then put their name in the hat for a proper tag rematch. Instead, they've been jobbed out and made to look like two veterans who can't cut it anymore.
