5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Apr 24)

4. 'King' Corbin's MITB Involvement

Daniel Bryan had already qualified for the men's Money In The Bank match by beating Cesaro last week by the time he chummed Drew Gulak to the ring here. That, to anyone who knows WWE's booking style, meant only one thing: Gulak wasn't winning. He was always doing the honours for 'King' Corbin.

That's exactly what happened, which is fine.

Corbin is a fine heel counterpoint to the babyfaces in the match, like Bryan, Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio, and he'll excel alongside such talented workers. That sums Corbin up; when he's in there with guys who can bump around for him, he's solid. All three of those dudes can do that, and so can the likes of Apollo Crews and Otis or Dolph Ziggler (depending on who qualifies there).

Side note: Corbin teaming up with Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro is a bit random. Has he replaced Sami Zayn? Are Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode no longer in the frame? WWE probably won't explain any of this.
