5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Dec 9)

1. Comedy? We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ Comedy!

Everyone knew that contract signing segment was going to be played for laughs as soon as New Day came out to backup Ricochet. The whole scenario turned into a six-man tag (more on that later), but not before Rico made some errant sexual performance jokes at GUNTHER's expense.

Oh, the hilarity.

That's sarcasm, obviously. 'SmackDown World Cup' winner Ricochet and stoic Intercontinental Champ GUNTHER should've been conducting serious business when inking their deal for next week's match. Instead, WWE just couldn't resist babyfaces alleging that a heel can't pop a boner.

There's a time and a place for giggles, and this wasn't it. Would it have killed the writers to put a red pen through sexual innuendos and let Ricochet passionately explain how much holding the IC prize again would mean to him? Would it?!
