5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 12 - Results & Review)

2. Fairly Meh Follow Up

Bobby Lashley Street Profits The Pride

Let's get something straight: Bobby Lashley, heel or babyface, has never been the best talker. There's a laid back/non-threatening vibe to almost everything Bobby says, which is why WWE saw fit to put MVP by his side as a motor-mouthed manager years ago. That worked, but having Lashley carry the can on the mic is tough going.

Here, neither he nor The Street Profits seemed fired up enough when they were ranting about Karrion Kross and AOP attacking them last week. Their promo was mere setup for a vignette on Karrion's new group (called The Final Testament). That's fine, but it would've been sweet to see more fire from Bobby, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins.

This sort of segment badly needed them to come out with a purpose. Instead, the trio wore baffled expressions on their faces when Paul Ellering emerged to point at the screen for Karrion's promo. Shouldn't The Pride have been a little more p*ssed off?!

If they don't care, then why should fans?
