5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 6)

3. Predictably Awesome

The Usos Sheamus

Everyone knew that The Usos vs. Drew McIntyre and Sheamus would hit the heights, and it did. Was there any real threat of Jimmy and Jey losing their belts? Hmm, kinda'. More so than usual, anyway. Sheamus surviving the 1D was a mega-moment, and the faces are big-enough stars that it was always in the back of fan minds.

The Bloodline has started to show serious cracks, don't forget.

It wouldn't have been inconceivable for WWE to heap further misery on the group following last week's egg-on-face loss for Roman and Sami to John Cena and KO. Everything about this tag soared in front of a hot live crowd, but that's no surprise given the sheer depth of star quality on hand to work it.

The Usos keep on delivering whenever they're involved, and this could easily have taken place on pay-per-view. Christ, it was so good that yours truly wouldn't be against a rematch at Royal Rumble. Why not? Opening the show with something this tasty sounds like a hoot.
