5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Mar 3)

2. A Waste Of Everyone's Time

Lord only knows where WWE plans to go with Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler; Ronda herself recently said that the tandem isn't necessarily in the Women's Tag-Team Title division, which renders them pointless as a team. What are they looking to achieve then? Nothing?

Also, Rousey has never felt like less of a star in WWE circles, and the whole setup for Baszler squashing Tegan Nox meant sod all in the end. It's not good when a mini-feud sucks wind to begin with then doesn't deliver anything of any note anyway. That sort of stuff leaves fans scratching their heads.

Who was supposed to come out of this more over than they were going in, and what's the aim if not to put the heels in the tag scene? This was telly for the sake of telly. That's not a compliment, because WWE has shown brilliant direction and character development elsewhere very recently.

What a miss.
