'Back in Black'.

Aleister Black made his first in-person appearance in WWE since moving to SmackDown in last October's Draft. Was it worth the wait? Well, yes, but only if creative follow-up on this first strike by booking Black in memorable matches and feuds from here on out. This was a really good opening salvo though.

Elsewhere on the latest Smackers, Roman Reigns continued his quite stunning character work and Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro looks set to peak at Hell In A Cell. Nothing has been announced for that yet, but it doesn't take a genius to figure out where WWE are going with things; it's either that or an unexpected rematch between Cesaro and Reigns.

Take your pick.

This week's show also had a thumping main event to cap it, but there was some dirt to scrape off the undercard too. Friday night's writers refuse to move on from a feud that outlived its purpose back at WrestleMania, and it seems like a heel tag-team might be set to split too.

Here are all the 'Ups' and the 'Downs' from the latest effort...
