5 Ups & 3 Downs From WWE SmackDown (May 5)

1. Karrion Kross Needed That More

Sorry, but it's stupid to put Shinsuke Nakamura over Karrion Kross right now.

These guys had a decent match, but the result left a bad taste in this fan's mouth. Every other SmackDown draftee won out over soon-to-be-Raw stars. Y'know, everyone except Karrion. He came up just short again, and Scarlett looked like a doofus for refusing to get involved when it mattered most.

Shinsuke could've been easily reheated over on Raw post-defeat, but where the flying f*ck does Karrion go from here? He's looking every bit the midcard jobber to the stars. Remember this if Triple H wants to hype him up with a few squash wins soon - it's coming close to 'too little, too late' for him.

Kross has turned into heel Bray Wyatt 2K23. He makes grandiose promises in unnerving pre-match promises, then rarely comes through come match time. Yours truly understands that Nakamura will probs go far in the World Title tournament, but yeah. Karrion deserves better.
