5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Aug 11)

3. The Hybrid 2 vs. Natural Nightmares

Angelico QT Marshall
AEW

Booked last week when Jack Evans cheated to beat QT Marshall before Dustin Rhodes saved his partner from a two-on-one beatdown, this was a flat follow-up.

The Natural Nightmares' near-dominances begs the question of why AEW booked a setup angle in the first place. This offered no more than your everyday Dark squash in that it focused primarily on the victors, who worked The Hybrid 2 over for the bulk of it, offering Angelico and Evans few avenues. Marshall and Rhodes were as solid and functional as ever and the match was fortunately low on Nightmare Sisters shenanigans, though there was little for the viewer to sink their teeth into.

Minimising Evans' opportunities to be a complete and utter d*ckhead is a letdown in itself.
