5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dark (Sep 29)

1. Gunn Club vs. Cezar Bononi & Shawn Dean

Billy Gunn Cezar Bononi
AEW

Former NXT wrestler Cezar Bononi debuted for Dark months after first appearing in an AEW crowd, having failed to make a lasting impression in WWE. It's rare that the talent themselves can be blamed for this, so deep is WWE's developmental pool, though she showed little here to suggest that he'd be an essential AEW pickup.

These Gunn Club matches exist to get Austin valuable experience, as he's still very green. They rarely break out of first gear, let alone second or third, and this was the case here as well, with Billy eventually scoring the win via Fame Asser.
