Joe Hendry: "I Know I Can Be A Top Guy" (WWE News)
Viral star says he "knows in [his] heart" he can be WWE's top performer.
Joe Hendry has worked incredibly hard to reach WWE's main roster, but he knows his workload is just beginning. The Scot told TV Insider that he's "just always looking to get better at what I do". At the same time, Hendry believes he has what it takes to become a major player in the company going forwards.
"I know in my heart that I can be a top draw for WWE", he said. "I know people have things to say about that, but the truth is I know that I can be a top guy. I know that I can be an asset to the professional wrestling business because I have the metrics to prove it; and those are facts, you know?".
Joe pointed to huge numbers on social media and YouTube as evidence that he's on the right path, as well as the fact his t-shirt sold like hot cakes during WrestleMania season.
Continuing, he added: "I have the metrics to prove that I can draw in the professional wrestling business, and my goal is to be somebody who can deliver for the company".
WWE President Nick Khan once revealed exactly what the promotion looks for in talent when they're trying to break through to the next level. That caught Hendry's attention, and he referenced it during his own interview.
"It is someone that can move the needle for the company immediately or in the near future. I believe that I’m somebody who can do that. I’ve had metrics in the past to prove that I think I can be a top guy for WWE, so I’m looking to acquire the skills to do that as quickly as I can".
