5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Dynamite (January 31 - Results & Review)

4. An Intriguing Post-Match Angle

During the Mox Vs. Hardy match, after which incidentally Jeff bird-flipped Mox - entitled moaning and obvious politicking works, sadly - Mox drew the ire of the four guests from CMLL. Launched into the vicinity of Hechicero, Mistico, Máscara Dorada 2.0 and Volador, Jr., tension was evident - and in the post-match, with the Blackpool Combat Club absent, they put a beating on Mox to set up a Trios match next week. This was really cool, even if, gauging by the audience reaction, the most acclaimed league on the planet right now isn't as well-known as the hipster's choice rep may have suggested.

Still, this was very interesting - a completely different dimension to the way in which the AEW/NJPW partnership has been presented. The CMLL All-Stars Vs. Blackpool Combat Club Trios match on Dynamite next week looks like a blast, and the Bryan Danielson Vs. Hechicero Collision bout has hardcore fans of submission wrestling purring.
