5 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Dec 16)

Time for some brutal honesty. This fan went into Friday's eight-man main event wanting to hate it. Why? Dunno'. Maybe he's just sick of constant multi-mans that AEW seems to put on every week, or maybe he just isn't a huge fan of the whole Best Friends unit.

Y'know what? "He" was wrong.

Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor, Trent Beretta and Dustin Rhodes vs. The Butcher, Blade, Kip Sabian and Trent Seven was a riot from start to finish. Everybody got something to do, and the double Eddie Guerrero 'trick the ref' spot also involving Danhausen, Penelope Ford and The Bunny was fabulously done.

The live crowd were right up for this one from the opening bell, which helped, and it's really hard to hate on anything that happened. It's even tough to spit on the fact that recent debutant Trent Seven is now 0-2 in AEW - he's talented enough to pull the nose up there.

This was 10x better than most of these eight-mans tend to be.
