10 Booking Decisions WWE Must Make Before WrestleMania 39

WWE's weekly product could look VERY different by the time WrestleMania 39 rolls around.

The complete absence of a December pay-per-view and Triple H binning Day 1 from the lineup come early January means Royal Rumble is WWE's next super-show stop. That also guarantees something else: EVERYONE is already focused on what happens between the Rumble-WrestleMania 39.

In fact, add Raw and SmackDown into that equation - there's a lot of TV time to get through (without PPV distractions) before the company even rolls into San Antonio for twin 30-wrestler matches, and that means the 'Road To WrestleMania' starts a little earlier than usual.

Preparations for what's to come in April are high on the agenda, basically.

WWE must make all of these decisions pre-'Mania. The bumper weekender's success could depend on it. Also, selfishly, this writer and countless other fans just want to see some of this stuff happen. Why not? All of it would feel like a reward for believing in Hunter's product since 'The Game' took over from Vince McMahon.

Speaking of Vince, WrestleMania 39 may well be the first without his stamp of approval. That means WWE can afford to do some things differently this year.

10. To Father/Son Or Not To Father/Son

Right, is this happening or not?

WWE has hit the pause button on Rey biting back at his son Dominik lately. They moved daddy dearest to SmackDown, and he's currently locked in the mini-feud to end all mini-feuds vs. Karrion Kross. Once that's wrapped up though, creative will have to put a bow on Dom being an ungrateful little sh*t.

Some sort of father vs. son battle sounds perfect for WrestleMania 39's undercard on either night. However, the writers need to decide if they're all in on this idea or if they'd rather just have Dominik do other things as part of the Judgment Day group.

If it's the former, then they can have Rey and Dom interact at the Rumble briefly. Then, afterwards, things can really get moving on an announcement for April and a big father vs. son clash that ends the story once and for all. There, Dominik can score the win over his old man.
